Don’t let the winter blues get you down! These amazing, colourful, patchwork jeans will certainly brighten anyone’s day. I’ve taken a recycled pair of cropped jeans, then chopped, distressed and decorated them to create this unique, one of a kind work of wearable art. These beauties have some amazing features to ensure versatility and comfort.

Zip fly, these jeans are adjustable with two button closures. The waistband is “spring loaded” with elastic at the hip bones to help gather and balance the look. This means that they can be belted or not, be worn low or high and have built in comfort. The denim is 100% cotton whilst the appliqués are a polyester blend. The “vibrant” patches and appliqués were taken from an old piece of upholstery and have various bobbles and non-glass reflective mirrors.

The denim patches were hand made by me. Contrast stitching and raw frayed edges make these jeans look industrial and cool, whilst the beautiful appliqués give them a feminine street vibe. They are secure cuffed in four places, so they won’t flop too much at the ankle. However, you could easily remove this stitching if you wanted a looser, longer cuff. These jeans were already bleached and faded to this colour when I reclaimed them, they have no extra dye or bleaching. As with all of my creations, the materials (except for thread) are all recycled, sanitised and stress tested for durability.

In the photos, I have the jeans buttoned at their smallest size and I have cinched them with a belt. I am 170cm tall and wear a UK 6-8 for size reference. I’ve styled these jeans with trainers, but they look amazing with boots and chunky socks as well.
